Lola giving back. | Harry Barker Gives Back | It seems more than enough that we get so much love and pleasure from our pets, but now, we know that other people can benefit from what our pets already give to us. Our mission includes being socially responsible and supportive of our community. Therefore, proceeds from many of our products support local programs for disabled children and adults. Please feel free to send us information about charitable programs in your area. We like to be aware and do what we can to help worthy causes that also nurture our domestic animals. | | Therapy dogs of MUSC | Therapy dogs help medically fragile children. | | Therapy dogs such as Lola, work at the Medically Fragile Children’s Program at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital. Harry Barker supports them by contributing a portion of the proceeds from the sale of specially-designed treats and toys. Certified therapy dogs work in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and senior citizen centers. These loving dogs encourage impaired children and adults to stretch weak limbs and to learn new words by touching the pets. They, also, help calm anxious patients of all ages. We believe that therapy dog programs demonstrate the great gifts that pets provide to us all.
